Steve White is a fully qualified and Approved Driving Instructor, registered to practice with the DVSA, he's also a qualified DVSA Fleet trainer and Btec Assessor.


His Registration number is 373280 and is a  Grade A instructor, which is the highest grade.



Background




Steve spent many years working for a Bradford based Building Society at it's Head Office as a staff development officer and trainer, alongside his main job, he also worked in Broadcasting as a Broadcast skills trainer, presenter and IT manager in Local Radio. One of his most enjoyable projects was setting up and installing radio stations in several schools in the West Yorkshire area so that the younger generation could gain valuable skills from radio and broadcast to their schools via their interactive whiteboard systems.



The Birth of Steve White Driver Training


In 2007 Steve decided to follow a passion for driving and studied and qualified as a driving instructor, training and then initially instructing with a well known national driving school, then setting up his own successful driving school - Steve White Driver Training in 2010


Many of the values he acquired in his varied previous careers were implemented and brought together when he started Steve White Driver Training, the ideal marriage of training skills, teaching practice, customer service and personal development.


Qualifications


Professionally, Steve is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and the Institute for Learning and is a fully qualified trainer (Cert. Training Practice - Huddersfield University 2001) specialising in adult education and corporate training, development, delivery and evaluation.


He has an immense passion for helping people develop and expand their skills, is patient and pragmatic in his approach towards development and driven by success.


Steve also holds the QCF A1 Assessor qualification to enable him to provide and assess BTEC and NVQ qualifications. He is also a DVSA qualified Fleet trainer and assessor.


Personal life


Married to Fay, Steve has 3 grown up sons, a stepdaughter and stepson and has 5 grandchildren to his stepchildren and a cat called Lexy.


 His hobbies include driving ( naturally!), flying - he's working on his private pilots licence, music - with a VAST vinyl record collection, 70's and 80's are his passion and he owns every single that charted through the 1980's, Steve enjoys reading biographies of influential people, vehicle repair and maintenance - he has restored many vehicles in the past, walking and spending time with his family. He is passionate about cooking and an accomplished cook and has a passion for craft beers and red wines. Steve is currently writing his first book on Cooking - watch this space!


He is also an active road safety campaigner and supporter of local Animal Charities
